Materials:

Instructions:

Cut the large shield out of colored paper and the smaller shields out of white paper. Glue them together and add your resident’s names!

Banner Triangles

Pennant banners are very popular and super easy to make! They also make a big effect and add lots of color without needed a huge amount of paper. The theme possibilities for this are endless, consider zoo, carnival, medieval, sports etc.

Supplies:

Colored Construction Paper

Scissors

Glitter Glue

Directions:

Cut your paper into triangles. Decorate with glitter glue and hang!

Hints:

  • You can easily vary the sizes of your triangles to add interest.
  • Add letters to spell out the name of your hall or school.

Door Decs: Stained Glass Windows

Stained Glass Windows

Simple and easy, everything you want a door dec to be! Perfect for a medieval, castle, or Beauty and the Beast theme!

Supplies:

Computer Paper

Scissors

Ruler

Crayons

Black Puffy Paint

Directions:

Cut your paper into the desired shape for your window. Use the ruler to trace a random pattern of intersecting lines onto your window. Color in triangles with different shades of the same color. Go over lines with a black crayon and add name with puffy paint.

Hints:

  • Don’t be limited by one color combination or pattern, experiment and see what happens!
  • A touch of glitter glue along the black lines gives a beautiful light-shining-through-window effect!
